As soon as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was announced, the instant anticipation set in for all DC Comics fans, as well as superhero lovers in general. Fans have either loved the trailers so far, or worried “too much” was shown regarding the plot – which I highly doubt is possible. Today, DC unveiled their final trailer for the epic battle arriving to theatres next month. In the trailer, we take a better look at the new Batman (played by Ben Affleck) and his concerns about an unstoppable being like Superman (Henry Cavill). Batman is shown to have some excellent combat methods and fight choreography of his own, eventually discovering a way to fight at a (mostly) level playing field. “He has the power to wipe out the entire human race. If we believe there is even a 1% chance that he is our enemy, we have to take it as an absolute certainty.” A scorned Bruce Wayne says about the Kryptonian after the events of Man of Steel.

Wonder Woman’s previous scene is shown again, with a brief extended image of her flying into battle against Doomsday – as well as a flirtation between the heroine (played by Gal Gadot) and the caped crusader. In the early 2000’s Justice League comic, there was an interesting romance developing between the pair, and I wouldn’t mind seeing it play out if it takes a similar approach. The battle between heroes never felt like it would stick, but this latest trailer truly builds-up the clash without giving away any major climactic moments. If anything, I’m extremely pleased that there are multiple acts to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it’s evident that director Zack Snyder knows exactly how to make a spectacular superhero film.
