A new Funimation broadcast dub announcement is upon us – and we now how an official English voice cast for the anime series Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash! Funimation made the cast announcement on February 10th, the same day as the series debuting at 9:00pm EST, followed by an episode of Doubletalk that will dissect the episode! Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash tells the story of a group that finds themselves in a fantasy world with no recollection of their history. The concept art for the anime is strikingly colorful with intricate detail to the characters’ wardrobes. The trailer for the anime does include a few fan-service innuendos, but the overall animation and premise has me intrigued enough to give Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash a chance in the near future! The official description for the series describes it as:

“From A-1 Pictures, the studio behind Fairy Tail and Sword Art Online: When Haruhiro awakens, he’s in the dark surrounded by people who have no memory of where they came from or how they got there. As the darkness fades, a fantastic new world called “Grimgar” appears before them and their adventure begins—but first, they’ll have to choose their guild, class, and special abilities.” With the creative team responsible for two fan favorite anime series, you can guarantee that Grimgar will achieve some semblance of success for that alone.
